Angle Control
The most critical skill is controlling where the ball goes. Hitting the ball with the center of the paddle returns it straight. Hitting it with the edges adds a sharp angle. Use the edges to send the ball into corners to tunnel through brick defenses.
Tunneling
The goal of every level should be to punch a hole through one column of bricks to get the ball behind the wall. Once the ball is trapped above the bricks, it will bounce rapidly, destroying the level from the top down with zero risk to you.
Power-Up Management
Not every power-up is worth the risk. If a "Multi-Ball" drops while the ball is moving fast towards the bottom, chasing the power-up might cause you to miss the ball. Always prioritize survival over greed.
Safety Tips
- Keep your eye on the ball: It sounds obvious, but players often look at the bricks. Look at the ball's path.
- Reset Position: After hitting the ball, move your paddle back towards the center. It's the statistically best position to be in for the return.
