Physics of Stacking: Why Towers Fall
Center of Mass
For any object to remain stable, its Center of Mass (COM) must be located directly above its base of support. In Tower Stack, as blocks get thinner due to imperfect placement, the "Base of Support" shrinks, making it exponentially harder to land the next block within that safe zone.
Structural Integrity
Real skyscrapers taper towards the top (like the Burj Khalifa) to lower their center of mass and reduce wind resistance. In this game, your tower does the opposite—it tends to get thinner and more wobbly as you go up, creating an unstable "inverted pendulum" effect.
The Perfect Stack Bonus
In our game, landing a block "Perfectly" (within a few pixels of the center) prevents the block from shrinking. This is the only way to maintain a wide base of support for high scores. Consecutive perfect drops enable a streak bonus, multiplying your score accumulation.
